Rich Fennessy is a successful Fortune 500 CEO with 32 years international management experience and widely admired for his integrity, business knowledge and interpersonal skills. Throughout his career Rich has acquired, sold and managed 20 companies worldwide.
Mr. Fennessy was most recently CEO at Kudelski Security, a global provider of cyber security solutions. During his tenure, he successfully transformed the company from a Switzerland-based startup into an international provider of innovative cyber security solutions and award-winning managed security services.
Before Kudelski Security, Rich was CEO of Fishnet Security, the largest information security solutions provider in North America. In January 2015, he managed the successful sale of Fishnet to private equity giant Blackstone, resulting in the creation of Optiv Security. Before Fishnet Security, Rich served as President and CEO of eInstruction Corporation, an established private equity-owned technology company in the complex and growing global education industry.
Prior to eInstruction, Rich served as President and CEO of Insight Enterprises, Inc., a Fortune 500 global Information Technology solutions company with 5500 employees and operations in 22 countries. During his tenure, he doubled the company’s annual revenue to over $5B, leading Insight to join the Fortune 500 for the first time in its history.
Before joining Insight, Rich enjoyed a successful 17-year career with IBM, holding multiple senior-level executive positions both domestically and internationally. His last position was General Manager of ibm.com, IBM’s worldwide web and telephony business, which operated in 83 countries. He managed and grew ibm.com into a $12B business.
Mr. Fennessy earned a B.S in Engineering from Michigan State University. He is known for his philanthropic work and contributions, particularly to causes supporting education. Throughout his career Rich has been recognized for outperforming expectations, and for achievements in business and technology.
